A bloody clash took place between two parties over dominance and land dispute in Bhanga, Faridpur. At least 25 to 30 people were injured in this. The clash took place from 6 am to 10 am on Tuesday in Saraibari village of Tujarpur union of the upazila. Although the police initially reached the spot, the situation there was dire, so the clash continued for 4 hours. Later, the situation normalized with the help of additional police and local public representatives. However, the situation is currently tense. Police are deployed in the area.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of the police station Abdul Alim said that there is a long-standing dispute over dominance between Habibur Rahman Talukder and Kabir Khan group in Saraibari village of Tujarpur union. Two days ago, people from Kabir Khan's side brutally beat up Shahid Khan on the village road. After this, the houses of Kabir Khan's supporters were vandalized and looted on two occasions in the last two days. As a result, people from both sides clashed with local weapons, shields and roadblocks from 6 am to 10 am today, Tuesday.

The OC also said that the number of injured in this incident is not known. However, the situation there has been under control of the police since 10 am. Additional police have been deployed in the area.

Locals said that on two occasions in the last two days, people from the Talukder group unjustly beat up people from the Khan group and vandalized and attacked houses. If the police had taken legal action between the two parties from the beginning, the clash would not have happened at this stage. The police's silent role has led to this stage.

In this incident, Kabir Matubbar, who led one of the parties, said that the day after yesterday, people from his side were beaten up and houses were attacked and looted by the people of the opponent Habibur Rahman Talukder. That is why the clash took place today.

When contacted on the mobile phone of the opponent, Habibur Rahman Talukder, he did not answer the phone. Therefore, his statement could not be obtained. However, his side, Shawkat Hawlader, denied the allegations and said that there are often clashes between them over a long-standing dispute. That is why the clash still takes place today. About 12 people from their side were injured in this.
