


The Narail District Detective Branch (DB) has arrested two members of a motorcycle theft gang and recovered a stolen vehicle within two days of the crime.
According to police sources, a red and black Bajaj Pulsar 150cc motorcycle was stolen from the courtyard of Rakibul Molya’s house in Makrail village on Sunday night. Following the theft, Molya filed a case at Lohagara Police Station.
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mohammad Al Mamun Shikdar, the DB police launched an investigation using information technology and intelligence leads. On Tuesday afternoon, a team led by DB Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdul Khalek conducted a raid at the Lahuria Union intersection.
The police arrested Ashiq Sheikh alias Akidul (26) and Mizanur Rahman (27) at the scene and recovered the stolen motorcycle. The suspects, both residents of Lohagara Upazila, were presented before a Narail court and subsequently sent to jail.
