General students studying in various departments of Northern University organized this human chain demanding the speedy implementation of the Teesta Master Plan.

Speakers at this program organized on the campus premises of Northern University on Sunday morning said, "The young generation of North Bengal is now determined to achieve their just rights. Teesta is not just a river, it is the pulse of our lives and the hope for a prosperous future."

They also said, "If Teesta survives, North Bengal will survive, and if North Bengal survives, Bangladesh will move forward at an unstoppable pace." The speakers strongly demanded the government to implement the Teesta Master Plan quickly and called it the biggest necessity (or 'demand of the hour') of the present time.
