Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated on Tuesday that China has maintained a policy of non-interference in Bangladesh’s internal affairs while remaining a steadfast development partner.

The Jamaat leader made these remarks during a food distribution program at Adarsh High School in Mirpur-10. Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka, Yao Wen, attended the event as a special guest.

"China has consistently proven itself to be a true friend," Dr. Rahman said. "While some actors interfere in our domestic matters without contributing to our growth, China has focused on partnership without meddling."

Highlighting the 50-year diplomatic history between the two nations, Dr. Rahman noted that since formal recognition in 1976, China has become one of Bangladesh's most sincere development allies. He expressed hope that Beijing would become even more proactive in supporting the welfare of the Bangladeshi people in the coming years.
