Information Advisor Mahfuz Alam said that the interim government's advisory council meeting will end in November. He said, "23 immediately implementable proposals have been raised from the reform commission.

The ministry is reviewing and implementing 13 proposals. The cabinet will close in November, which we want to do within the next month."

He gave this information while highlighting the progress of his ministry's reform implementation at the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) 'Meet the Reporters' program on Sunday.

Mahfuz Alam said, "These are very big things, not like this. But our deadline was three months earlier, now it is one month. Because these things have to be done by the cabinet or by formulating policies. Which I will not be able to do after November.’

The ‘Meet the Reporters’ program was attended by the Chief Advisor’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, Senior Assistant Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor Faiz Ahmed, DRU President Abu Saleh Akon, General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel, and others.

The Information Advisor said that the minimum salary of journalists will be fixed within the next week, saying, ‘Arrangements are being made to ensure that the salary is at least close to the ninth grade.’ Regarding OTT-YouTube, he said, ‘If content is created, it is under the control of the Ministry of Information.

And if it is published on a digital platform, it will go under the care of the ICT Department. We are trying to regulate the content that comes on online platforms.’
