


Ramgarh Invader Liberation Day was celebrated in Khagrachari district with due solemnity on Monday (December 8).To mark the occasion, the Upazila Parishad organized a rally in the morning that paraded through the city's main roads before concluding at the Victory Statue.
Following the rally, a discussion meeting was held, chaired by Ramgarh Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kazi Shamim and conducted by ICT Officer Rehan Uddin. Speakers at the event highlighted the significance of the day, stating that on December 8, 1971, Ramgarh—the headquarters of Sector 1 during the Liberation War and the first sub-divisional city in the then Chittagong Hill Tracts—was completely liberated from the invaders by the combined forces of the fearless Mukti Sena and the Indian allied forces.
