


BNP-nominated candidate Wadud Bhuiyan has promised to create new jobs, improve education and address long-standing problems in the hilly region if elected in the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election.
Speaking at a series of election roadshows in Ramgarh on Thursday, Wadud Bhuiyan urged voters to go to polling centres on February 12 and cast their votes for the paddy sheaf symbol. Wadud Bhuiyan, the BNP candidate for Khagrachari constituency-298 and president of the district BNP, said he wants to work for the overall welfare and development of the area. “If elected, I will focus on solving local problems, improving the quality of education and creating employment opportunities,” he said.
From 2pm onwards, he held consecutive public meetings and road rallies at several locations, including Nakapa Bazar, Mahbub Nagar of Patachhara Union, Lamku Para of Ramgarh Union, and Sonaipul and Garjantali areas of Ramgarh municipality.
A large number of party leaders, activists and local residents attended the programmes.
Ramgarh Municipal BNP President Md Bahar Uddin said the party was receiving a strong response from voters. “People from all walks of life have shown confidence in Wadud Bhuiyan. We are optimistic about victory,” he said.
District BNP Vice President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan, Ramgarh Upazila BNP President Md Jasim Uddin, Ramgarh Municipal BNP President Md Bahar Uddin, Upazila BNP General Secretary Shefayet Morshed Bhuiyan (Mithu), and other district and upazila-level leaders accompanied the candidate during the roadshows.
