Sylhet Bus Crash: Eight Killed in Head-On Collision

At least eight people were killed and several others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Sylhet’s Osmaninagar upazila on Friday morning.

The collision occurred in the early hours of Friday August 7, 2026 . Local emergency services and residents quickly initiated rescue efforts transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.

Local authorities confirmed that the identities of the deceased and the cause of the crash could not be immediately determined. Police have launched an investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the collision as recovery operations continue at the scene.
