Vinicius Jr Signs New Real Madrid Contract Until 2032

Real Madrid has secured the long-term future of star forward Vinicius Jr, officially announcing a contract extension that keeps the 26-year-old Brazilian at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2032.

The agreement concludes a year of stalled negotiations and ends mounting speculation linking the winger to Premier League champions Arsenal. A breakthrough occurred Wednesday when Real Madrid executives presented an improved financial package, successfully bridging the gap between their previous €22 million annual offer and the player’s €30 million asking price.

Since joining the Spanish giants in 2018, Vinicius has been pivotal to the club’s success. He has recorded 128 goals in 375 appearances with securing 14 major trophies including two Champions League titles and three LaLiga crowns.

The renewal provides a major boost for Real Madrid as they regroup from a disappointing and trophyless campaign where they finished runners-up to Barcelona. Securing their star forward anchors an aggressive summer rebuild that has already seen the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, Yan Diomande and Denzel Dumfries.

Having recently returned from a demanding World Cup campaign where Brazil was eliminated by Norway in the round of 16, Vinicius will now play under returning manager Jose Mourinho who was appointed in June to restore the club's domestic and European dominance.
