Device Stamp Bangladesh Limited is organizing “DPP Awareness and Training Program 2026” to prepare the country’s ready-made garment industry for the upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements of the European Union. The program will be held in collaboration with BD Commercial.
The program will be held tomorrow, Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The venue has been decided at BGBA Multipurpose Hall, 6th floor of BGBA Building, Road No. 10, Uttara, Dhaka. The venue is located near Uttara North Metrorail Station.
Device Stamp Bangladesh, a Bangladesh-Poland joint venture, is part of the global Device Stamp Network. The organization is working on digital product passports, product traceability, supply chain transparency, and structured product information management. The organization helps manufacturers and brands meet international sustainability, transparency and compliance requirements through digital identification and data management.
The main awareness and training session of the program will be conducted by Md. Nazrul Islam, Director of Device Stamp Bangladesh Limited and Head of DPP Awareness and Industry Training in Bangladesh. He will explain what a Digital Product Passport is, why the European Union is introducing it, and how garment manufacturers in Bangladesh can prepare product information, supplier mapping, traceability information and necessary certificates through real-world examples.
Bjorn Johannes Eriksson, Global Managing Director of Device Stamp will deliver an international welcome speech and outline the organization’s global goals and plans. Miss Paulina from Device Stamp’s Poland team will address the participants. Mathias Mathy will also present Device Stamp’s web-based system and show how a product’s information can be linked to a Digital Product Passport.
The program is expected to be attended by around 100 garment industry professionals. They include factory owners, exporters, commercial officers, procurement and supply chain management professionals, compliance experts and sustainability officers.
The training will cover key topics including product identification, producer identity, ingredient composition, production information, supply chain traceability, environmental sustainability, product durability and recyclability, product care and compliance certificates.
International buyers are no longer limited to "Made in Bangladesh" information. They want to see reliable information and evidence to support claims about the source of the product's fibers, yarns and fabrics, production processes, environmental impacts and other aspects. As a result, it is becoming increasingly important for exporters to have transparency and verifiable information ready along the entire supply chain.
The European Union is moving towards a framework for digital identification and detailed information for products entering its market. In this context, the program aims to move the Bangladeshi garment sector from basic awareness to practical knowledge-based DPP, so that the country's manufacturers and exporters can maintain a competitive position in the international market while complying with the rules.
The organizers have invited media representatives to cover the event to raise awareness about this new chapter in sustainable, transparent and information-based supply chains.
