Device Stamp Bangladesh, a Digital Product Passport (DPP) solution provider signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA). The partnership aims to prepare Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) industry for the European Union's upcoming digital compliance laws.
The agreement signed by Device Stamp’s Bangladesh National Partner Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam and BGBA President Mr. Abdul Hamid.
The European Union is steadily moving toward making the Digital Product Passport mandatory for all products entering its market. Under this framework, a product's complete lifecycle including its raw materials, production source, sustainability metrics and supply chain traceability must be digitally recorded and accessible.
To simplify this complex digital transition for local factories, brands and buying houses, Device Stamp Bangladesh provides structured data management and traceability solutions that integrate with international compliance platforms.
Through this collaboration BGBA and Device Stamp Bangladesh will jointly work to: • Raise industry awareness regarding the EU DPP.
• Accelerate digital transformation across the garment supply chain.
• Ensure transparency and traceability from source to export.
• Organize targeted training and knowledge-sharing programs.
• Equip buying houses and factories to meet future international regulations.
Representatives from Device Stamp Bangladesh noted that as the global apparel industry rapidly shifts toward digital transparency, Bangladesh must adapt proactively to retain its competitive edge. Similarly, the BGBA expressed optimism that this partnership will provide its members with the vital tools needed to meet evolving international buyer demands and sustainability criteria.
As the world's second-largest garment exporter, Bangladesh is entering a critical phase where digital traceability will dictate the future of its international trade.
