Coast Guard Provides Free Medical Care and Medicines to 296 People in Veduria

The Bangladesh Coast Guard provided free medical treatment and essential medicines to 296 people during a medical camp in Veduria Union of Bhola on Monday (August 17).

The medical camp was organised by Coast Guard Base Bhola at the premises of the No. 11 Veduria Union Parishad in Bhola Sadar.

The camp began at 9:00am and continued until 1:00pm. During the four-hour programme, 296 local residents received free medical consultations and necessary medicines.

Bangladesh Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon confirmed the information.

He said the Bangladesh Coast Guard regularly carries out humanitarian activities for people living in coastal and riverbank areas, including free medical camps and other public welfare initiatives.

According to the Coast Guard, such programmes are aimed at supporting communities in remote and vulnerable areas where access to healthcare can be limited.

Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon also said the Coast Guard will continue similar humanitarian and community-focused initiatives in the future.
