Madhukhali Press Club Holds Memorial Meeting and Prayer Gathering

A memorial meeting and prayer gathering was held at the Madhukhali Press Club in Faridpur on Monday afternoon to remember late journalist S.M. Abul Bashar and pray for the recovery of ailing press club officials.

The programme was held at the Madhukhali Press Club auditorium at 4pm, organized by the press club.

The memorial meeting was chaired by Press Club President Moniruzzaman Munnu, while Vice President Matiar Rahman Mia moderated the event.

Press Club General Secretary Mehedi Hossain Palash and Joint Secretary Salehin Soad Sammi spoke at the meeting.

Among those present were Md. Selim Molla, younger brother of late Daily Bhorer Dak journalist S.M. Abul Bashar, and his maternal uncle Tahajjat Hossain. Press Club Vice President Ramjan Ali Biswas, Assistant Finance Secretary Manik Sikder, and journalists Shahidul Islam, Gautam Biswas, Nazmul and Partha were also present.

During the programme, prayers were offered for the recovery of Press Club adviser Mehedi Hasan Munnu and Office Secretary Md. Shahidul Islam.

A special prayer was also offered seeking forgiveness and peace for the soul of S.M. Abul Bashar, a former organizing secretary of the Madhukhali Press Club.

The prayer was conducted by Huzur Mofizur Rahman Mubin.
