Statements made by authoritarian and fascist figures while residing on Indian soil are a matter of concern for Bangladesh, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed has remarked.
She made the observation during a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday evening (August 6).
The State Minister noted that Bangladesh shares a multifaceted relationship with India and that dialogue on these matters will continue. However, she emphasized that the Indian government must remain cautious regarding issues that cause pain to the July warriors and the people of Bangladesh.
During the briefing, Shama Obaed also addressed the topic of BRICS membership, stating that whether Bangladesh will join the bloc depends entirely on the timing and strategic decision of the Bangladesh government.
