Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Dhaka by Afternoon

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms for Dhaka and its surrounding areas by 1:00 PM today.

The sky over the capital will remain cloudy with light rain or scattered thundershowers expected throughout the day. Commuters should anticipate south-to-southwesterly winds blowing at 10 to 15 km/h.

Daytime temperatures are expected to remain steady. At 6:00 AM, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 26.4°C with 97% humidity following a morning low of 25°C. This comes after the capital experienced significant precipitation, recording 50 mm of rainfall over the past 24 hours. Wednesday saw a high of 30.6°C.
