


Temporary gusty or squally winds accompanied by rain or thunderstorms, blowing from the south or south-east at speeds of 45 to 60 km/h, are likely to pass over Dhaka and nine other regions of Bangladesh by 1:00 AM tonight, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The Met Office issued this forecast in a weather bulletin released for internal river ports across the country on Thursday (August 6).
According to the forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds with rain or thunderstorms from the south or south-east reaching speeds of 45–60 km/h may affect the following regions, Pabna, Tangail, Dhaka, Faridpur, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram and Cox's Bazar.
River ports in these designated regions have been advised to hoist Signal No. 1.
