A discussion meeting and cultural program were held in Lohagara Upazila of Narail on Saturday to commemorate National Revolution and Solidarity Day 2026.
Presided over by Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) S. M. Mustafizur Rahman, the discussion took place at 10:00 AM in the UNO office conference room.
The meeting was attended by Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shariful Islam, BNP leaders Ahaduzzaman Batu and Kazi Sultanuzzaman Selim, Municipal BNP Acting President Nazrul Molla, Acting General Secretary Shamsul Haque Azad and Lohagara Freedom Fighter Command Council Convener Md. Mokbul Sikdar.
Valiant freedom fighters, local political figures, representatives from various educational institutions and media personnel also participated in the observance.
Speakers at the event recalled the historical significance of November 7 in safeguarding national sovereignty and democracy. The program concluded with a performance of patriotic songs.
