


Ramgarh upazila in Khagrachari observed July Uprising Day on Wednesday with profound respect honoring the martyrs of the historic movement.
The day’s programs began with local officials and political leaders placing floral wreaths at the grave of July martyr Abdul Majid in the Nakapa area. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kazi Shamim Assistant Commissioner (Land) Deen Al Jannat, Additional Superintendent of Police (Ramgarh Circle) Obain and Officer-in-Charge Nazer Alam led the tributes on behalf of the administration and police.
Local BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, alongside representatives from Ramgarh Municipality and the Electricity Distribution Department also paid their respects. Following the floral tributes a special prayer was offered seeking peaceful repose for the martyrs' souls and a swift recovery for those injured during the uprising.
Later a commemorative discussion was held at the Upazila Conference Room, chaired by UNO Kazi Shamim. Matin Mia the father of martyr Abdul Majid addressed the gathering with emotional reflections. Other prominent speakers included OC Nazer Alam District BNP Vice President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan Municipal BNP President Bahar Uddin Jamaat-e-Islami President Faizur Rahman and General Secretary Anwar Hossain.
To mark the occasion the upazila administration organized drawing and essay competitions for students from various local schools. The commemorative event concluded with guests distributing prizes to the competition winners.
