The Paikgachha Municipality Football XI secured a 1-0 victory over the Upazila Administration Football XI in a friendly match held in Khulna on Wednesday afternoon.
Organized jointly by the local administration and municipality to mark "July Uprising Day 2026" the match took place at the Paikgachha Government High School field. Alhaj Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Member of Parliament for the Khulna-6 constituency, inaugurated the event as the chief guest.
Following the closely contested game Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Municipality Administrator Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury handed out prizes and team jerseys to the participants. The sporting event served to bring local government officials and citizens together in a spirited tribute to the historical day.
