Habiganj’s Lakhai Observes July Uprising Day 2026

"July Uprising Day 2026" was observed in Habiganj's Lakhai upazila with a unified call to rebuild the nation under the slogan "Building the country in the spirit of July Bangladesh first."

Organized by the upazila administration, the commemorative event was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Syed Murad Islam and moderated by KM Saheed. Reflecting interfaith harmony, the program began with recitations from the Holy Quran by Maulana Muhibur Rahman and the Gita by Keshav Chandra Roy.

Imran Hasan Imon, who sustained injuries during the historic movement, addressed the gathering. He shared his experiences from the protests and paid deep tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Family members of the martyrs and other injured victims also took the stage to share their reflections and demand continued support for those affected.

The gathering was attended by Lakhai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Sharif Ahmed, local journalists, prominent BNP leaders and community members, underscoring local solidarity in remembering the pivotal uprising.
