The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Monday 10 August . The Ministry of Education announced the official date in a press release issued on Thursday.
This year a total of 1,857,344 candidates sat for the public examinations under the country’s 11 education boards . The student cohort is nearly evenly split by gender, comprising 930,305 male students and 927,039 female students.
According to the official academic timeline the theoretical examinations began on 21 April and concluded on 20 May . These were immediately followed by the practical examinations which ran from 7 June to 14 June .
Students parents and schools will be able to access the results online through official portals and via mobile SMS services once they are formally released on Monday morning.
