


A day-long training workshop for presiding and assistant presiding officers was held on Saturday (January 24) at the Ramgarh Government High School conference room. The session aimed to prepare officials for their duties in the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election for the 298th Khagrachari constituency.
A total of 119 election officials, including 22 presiding officers and 97 assistant presiding and polling officers, participated in the training. The workshop focused on election management, voting procedures, and maintaining law and order at polling centers.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Assistant Returning Officer Kazi Shamim presided over the event. The workshop was inaugurated virtually by District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md. Anowar Sadat, who provided key directives to ensure a fair and transparent election.
Several high-level district and upazila officials were present to facilitate the training, including. Md. Mostafa Jabed Kaychar, Additional District Magistrate. SM Shahadat Hossain, District Election Officer, Mr. Obain, Additional Superintendent of Police (Ramgarh Circle), Mohammad Nazir Alam, Officer-in-Charge of Ramgarh Police Station, Md. Ahidul Haque Noori, Headmaster of Ramgarh Government High School
The training is part of a series of administrative preparations ahead of the national polls scheduled for February 12, 2026.
