In the last 54 years, leadership has changed in the name of the government, but corruption has not changed: Dr. Taher

Jamaat's central Naib-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher said, this election is not a general election like 2008, 2014, 2018 and 2024. This election is not just a change of power, there is a qualitative difference. As you know, Bangladesh became independent 54 years ago. In these 54 years, many governments have changed.

But there has been no change in the system. Every government that comes, they have committed corruption. There has been a change of leadership in the name of the government, but there has been no change in corruption. During some governments, Bangladesh has become the champion in corruption three times in the world. This time, after the change of power through elections, there is an opportunity to stop corruption.

He also said, our 11-party alliance includes Islamic like-minded parties, including the brave freedom fighters and the July movement. A mass wave of the 11-party alliance has been created across the country. We hope that this time people will vote for good people. If the 11-party alliance takes power, corruption will be permanently eliminated from the country. If the alliance wins the election, dictatorship and fascism will fall forever. Bangladesh will start its journey on a new democratic path. Dr. Taher said these things while addressing an election rally as the chief guest at the Gachbaria Madrasa ground in Shuvopur Union of Chauddagram Upazila of Comilla on Sunday afternoon.

The speech was presided over by Shuvopur Union Jamaat Ameer Dr. Mofizur Rahman and moderated by Jamaat leader Sheikh Ahmed. The special guests were Comilla South District Jamaat Ameer Advocate Md. Shahjahan, Central Maslish-e-Shura member Dr. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Bashar, former chairman Ruhul Amin, Mustafa Nuruzzaman Khokon, Emdadul Haque Shahi, and Municipal Jamaat Ameer Maulana Ibrahim. Khiranshal Madrasa Principal Maulana Mahbul Haque, Maulana Iqbal Hossain Salehi, businessman Abdus Salam Mohan, Maulana Mozammel Monowar, Shuvopur Union Youth Division President Arifur Rahman spoke.

Upazila Jamaat Secretary Md. Belal Hossain, Jamaat leader Ahsan Ullah, Comilla Metropolitan Workers Welfare Federation Deputy General Secretary Abdul Jalil Madani and leaders at various levels were present at the time, among others.
