Principal Secretary to Chief Advisor submits resignation

Principal Secretary to Chief Advisor M Siraj Uddin Mia has submitted his resignation from the job. He submitted his resignation to the Chief Advisor on Monday (February 16).

Earlier, Siraj Uddin was appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor on a contract for two years in October 2024. Siraj Uddin mentioned his inability to serve for the remaining term in his resignation application.

On February 14, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor was given the additional responsibility of Cabinet Secretary. However, today, Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Gani was appointed as Cabinet Secretary.

After the results of the 13th National Parliament election were announced, a notification was issued on Saturday to cancel the contract of Sheikh Abdur Rashid, who was in charge of the Cabinet Secretary.

In this regard, Abdur Rashid said that he had resigned earlier. But it was not accepted due to the election. Now the order has been issued.
