


Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has called upon the military, law enforcement, and civil administration to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and a "citizen-friendly" approach as the nation prepares for the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections.
Speaking at a strategic view-exchange meeting at the Shariatpur District Circuit House, the Army Chief emphasized five core pillars for the upcoming electoral period, Professionalism, Impartiality, Discipline, Patience and Citizen-centric service.
The meeting served as a critical briefing for senior officials from Shariatpur, Faridpur, and Munshiganj districts. With the general election and Referendum-2026 scheduled for February 12, the discussion centered on creating a watertight security grid.
The primary objective is to ensure that voters can cast their ballots in a peaceful and fair environment. To achieve this, General Waker-Uz-Zaman stressed the necessity of seamless inter-agency coordination between the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and the civil administration.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that this visit is part of a broader countrywide tour by the Army Chief.
