Anjuman-e-Gausia's Free Eye Camp Serves 200 in Syedpur

Anjuman-e-Gausia Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Syedpur in collaboration with Dinajpur Gausul Azam BNSB Eye Hospital organized a free eye camp at Syedpur Pilot High School in Nilphamari on Saturday also providing treatment to over 200 underprivileged and general patients.

An eight-member medical team led by Dr Tanvir Ahmed conducted eye examinations, distributed free glasses and emergency medicines and identified 70 patients for free cataract surgery.

The day-long camp was inaugurated in the morning by the organization's chief patron, Allama Syed Shahzada Kalim Ashraf Ashrafi Al Jilani. Special guests included Syed Shahzada Ahmed Jamal Ashraf Ashrafi Al Jilani, Maulana Irfan Ashrafi and Alhaj Gulzar Ahmed Ashrafi alongside other organization leaders and volunteers.

Several elderly and low-income patients said financial hardship and transportation difficulties had long prevented them from seeking proper eye care, expressing gratitude for receiving quality treatment, glasses and medicine free of cost near their homes.

Haji Md Taslim Ashrafi, president of Anjuman-e-Gausia Syedpur said the initiative aimed to provide free, quality eye care to the poor, elderly and vulnerable also expressing hope that such humanitarian efforts would continue. Local residents praised the organization for the initiative.
