A reunion of former and current students of the Physics Department at Government Saadat College in Tangail was held Saturday also bringing together alumni from 1996 to 2026.
The day-long event began with a tribute at the college's Shaheed Minar under the theme "The bond of Physics and the reunion of the former together on the path to the future." A colorful rally followed with students from different batches marching around the college premises before gathering at the Physics Department hall for a reunion and memorial service.
Mohammad Mofizul Islam Majnu the convener of the Physics Alumni Association, presided over the program. Speakers included founding department teachers Professor Mosharraf Hossain and Professor Zakir Hossain, Deputy Secretary Masum Beg, Member Secretary Muhammad Harun-ur-Rashid and college teacher Sabbir Hasan Paul along with other current and former faculty members.
Teachers and students shared memories and celebrated reconnecting after years apart also creating a festive atmosphere across the campus. The event concluded with a cultural program.
