


Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman inaugurated the Army International Islamic Institute at the Jalshiri Housing Project in Dhaka on Monday.
During the ceremony General Waker-Uz-Zaman also virtually unveiled the foundation stones for seven new branches of the institute, which will be established in Barishal Savar Bogura Sylhet Chattogram Cumilla and Jashore.
Speaking at the event the Army Chief highlighted the institute’s core mission to cultivate ideal citizens equipped with modern knowledge leadership skills and robust moral values. To achieve this the institute will provide an English-medium education based on the Cambridge curriculum while placing an equal emphasis on ethical, values-based learning for the holistic development of its students.
The inauguration was attended by senior military officials including the Principal Staff Officer at Army Headquarters and various General Officers Commanding (GOCs) alongside educators students parents and media representatives.
