


It has been decided to increase the price of gold again in the country's market. After three consecutive declines, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has taken this decision to increase the price. This time, BAJUS has increased the price of a 22-carat Bhori by 5,424 taka, setting the price of a 22-carat Bhori at 2,51,184 taka.
BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Tuesday (February 3) morning. The new price came into effect from 10:30 am today.
The notification said that the price of pure gold (pure gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per Bhori (11.664 grams) in the country's market will be 2,51,184 taka. In addition, the price of gold has been fixed at 239,754 taka per 21-carat, 25,520 taka per 18-carat and 168,195 taka per 18-carat.
Bajus also said that the government-determined 5 percent VAT and the Bajus-determined minimum wage of 6 percent must be added to the selling price of gold. However, the wage may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.
Earlier, Bajus last adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market on the afternoon of February 2. At that time, the organization had set the price of a 22-carat gold bori at 245,760 taka, reducing the price by 5,424 taka per bori.
In addition, the price of gold per 21-carat bori was fixed at 234,563 taka, 218-carat bori at 211,087 taka per 18-carat and 164,523 taka per bori according to the traditional method. Which came into effect from 3:45 pm on February 2.
