The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 2,158 per bhori, setting the new price at Tk 2,40,336.

BAJUS announced the decision in a notice issued on Thursday (April 30). The new rates came into effect from 10:00am.

According to the notice, the adjustment was made due to a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market.

Under the revised rates:

  • 22-carat gold: Tk 2,40,336 per bhori (11.664 grams)
  • 21-carat gold: Tk 2,29,430 per bhori
  • 18-carat gold: Tk 1,96,655 per bhori
  • Traditional gold: Tk 1,60,146 per bhori

Just a day earlier, on April 29, BAJUS had also reduced gold prices. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold was set at Tk 2,42,495 per bhori after a Tk 2,216 cut. Other rates were Tk 2,31,472 for 21-carat, Tk 1,98,405 for 18-carat, and Tk 1,61,605 for traditional gold.

So far this year, gold prices have been adjusted 59 times in the domestic market—32 increases and 27 decreases.

In 2025, prices were revised 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.
