A memorial meeting was held on Monday at the Shilpi Community Center in Masterpara to honor the life and political legacy of the late former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson, Begum Khaleda Zia.

The event, organized by local residents, featured a virtual address by Khagrachari District BNP President Abdul Wadud Bhuiyan. In his speech, Bhuiyan reflected on Khaleda Zia’s decades of service and her role in the country’s democratic transitions.

Local BNP leaders, including Ramgarh Upazila BNP President Jasim Uddin, General Secretary Safayet Morshed Bhuiyan, and Municipal BNP President Bahar Uddin, also spoke at the gathering. They reminisced about her career and the impact of her leadership on the nation.

The meeting concluded with a special prayer (doa) for the departed soul of Begum Khaleda Zia and for the continued welfare of the country.

The program was presided over by local elder Siddiqur Rahman, with a welcoming speech by Musa Ahmed. A large number of BNP activists and local citizens attended the memorial.
