A human chain and protest march were held in Narail on Tuesday to condemn the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and senior military officials. Protesters described the incident as a violation of international law by U.S. and Israeli forces.
The program was organized at 10:00 AM in front of the Narail Press Club by the Al Abu Talib (AS) Mosque of Uzirpur and local residents.
Addressing the gathering, religious leaders including Maulana Yanur Hossain and Hujjatul Islam Ohidul Islam stated that Iran is a sovereign state and that external forces are using Israel to destabilize the nation. Speakers questioned the role of Western nations that advocate for democracy yet allegedly target independent countries and innocent lives.
The protesters also criticized the United Nations, suggesting that if the organization remains biased toward influential powers, its necessity for world peace will be called into question. They urged the UN and the OIC to take immediate, effective action.
The organizing committee noted that the Muslim Ummah has lost a significant spiritual leader. Following the human chain, a protest procession marched from the Press Club to the city’s Muchipol Square, with hundreds of men and women in attendance.
