


Police have solved the mystery of the recovery of the body of a five-year-old girl who went missing in the morning in Porsha, Naogaon. A press release sent to journalists from the Naogaon District Superintendent of Police's office on October 12 said that on October 9, after eating at home and going out for sports at around 9 am, her mother learned through her mobile phone that Sumaiya had been brutally murdered by Mosharraf Hossain Moshar in Hiradanga village of Chhaor union in Kahara upazila, with her hands tied and her mouth strangled by putting soil inside her mouth.
The press release also said that after receiving news about the incident, senior police officers including the Porsha police station visited the scene and a murder case was registered at the police station on the same day. After that, the District Police Superintendent Safiul Sarwar, under the supervision of BPM and under the supervision of Mahadevpur Circle and under the leadership of Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mintu Rahman, started the work of unraveling the mystery of the child's murder.
As a result, within 48 hours of the incident, on the night of October 10, Mahbub Alam (30), son of A. Bari of Kusharpara village, Sujan (19), son of Badinath, and Nur Alam (30), son of the deceased Abdul Jabbar of Panchrai village, were arrested. Later, when the accused were sent to the court, they took the victim to the garden on the pretext of giving her guava and raped her in turn.
When the victim screamed, he tied her hands with a thick cloth and strangled her by putting soil in her mouth. Another person is involved in the incident and he is absconding. Efforts are underway to arrest him, the press release said.
