A series of administrative meetings, including the monthly coordination and law and order sessions, were held at the Porsha Upazila Parishad hallroom on Tuesday.

Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam, the discussions focused on several key public interest issues

Strategies for drug control, anti-smuggling operations, and the prevention of terrorism and sabotage.

Heightened measures to prevent the oppression and trafficking of women and children.

Reviewing NGO activities, streamlining birth and death registration via the Upazila Task Force, and monthly general council matters.

During the meeting, UNO Rakibul Islam emphasized that local fuel consumption (petrol and diesel) is being strictly managed in alignment with central government directives.

On the health front, officials issued an urgent call to follow medical guidelines regarding measles. Parents and caregivers were urged to consult health professionals for infected children to curb the spread of the disease within the community.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, Livestock Officer Dr. Jahangir Alam, Porsha Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ziaur Rahman, and Assistant Education Officer Zainul Abedin, alongside various department heads and Union Parishad (UP) chairmen.
