


A monthly law and order meeting was held in Khagrachari’s Ramgarh upazila on Tuesday to discuss pressing local issues including public safety and anti-smuggling efforts.
Organised by the Upazila Administration, the session at the council meeting room was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kazi Shamim. The discussions primarily focused on finding effective solutions to local administrative challenges with maintaining regional law and order and curbing drug abuse and cross-border smuggling.
The meeting brought together key local figures including Assistant Commissioner (Land) Deen Al Jannat, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. ABM Mozammel Haque, Upazila Social Service Officer Azizur Rahman Anjum, and local journalists. Prominent political leaders such as Ramgarh Upazila BNP President Jasim Uddin and Jamaat-e-Islami Upazila General Secretary Anwar Hossain were also present to share their insights on issues of public importance.
Following the formal discussions the Upazila Project Implementation Office distributed financial assistance cheques to 12 extreme-poor individuals under the TR and Kabikha safety-net projects.
Furthermore the administration honoured Urmila Tripura a talented local student for winning the National Primary Education Medal 2026 in the girls' high jump event and celebrating her outstanding athletic achievement.
