Cyclone-Hit Families in Porsha Receive Tin, Cash Aid

The upazila administration in Porsha has distributed relief assistance among families affected by a recent cyclone.

A total of 10 severely affected families received Tk 3,000 each, one bundle of corrugated tin and a blanket. In addition, 25 partially affected families were given dry food items.

The distribution programme was held at the Upazila Parishad meeting hall on Thursday afternoon, organised by the Disaster Management Branch of the administration. The assistance was provided from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

Local MP Mostafizur Rahman handed over the relief materials as the chief guest. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam presided over the event.

Among others present were LGED Engineer ANM Sultanul Imam and local political and community leaders.

Officials said the support aims to help affected families rebuild and meet their immediate needs.
