Police said that since the incident, accused Anwarul has been hiding in Chittagong for fear of being arrested by the police. After that, the police tried various ways to arrest him. At one stage, the police confirmed his location through information technology.

Accordingly, on Friday (October 31) at around 8:30 am, the investigating officer of the case, SI Sujan Sarkar of Sadullapur Police Station, along with a supporting force, conducted a night-long raid in a remote hilly area called Madhu Shah's Astana, adjacent to the Krishnachura residential area under Khulshi Police Station in Chittagong city, and arrested the accused Anwarul Islam.

Police and locals said that on the afternoon of October 18, accused Anwarul lured the rape victim to his house by luring her to feed him biscuits, took her to the bedroom and brutally raped her. As a result, the child fell seriously ill. In this situation, the family members rescued the child and quickly admitted her to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. A case was filed under the relevant section at Sadullapur Police Station.

But no matter how the criminal gang flees, there is no chance of escaping the law. The Sadullapur police have proved their professionalism in this successful operation with their efforts.

When asked about the physical condition of the victim, the OC said, the child's physical and mental condition has improved. However, her treatment is still ongoing.
