Pistol with Two Bullets Recovered from Pond in Bhola

Police have recovered a pistol along with two rounds of bullets from a pond in Bhola.

The firearm was found around 12:00 noon on Monday in a pond owned by Md. Jasim in the Chaumuhani area of Ward No. 2 under Alinagar Union in Bhola Sadar Upazila.

According to police and local residents, Jasim noticed the pistol in the pond while irrigating it in the morning. He immediately informed the police. Officers later arrived at the scene and recovered the weapon.

Md. Zia, Inspector (Investigation) of Bhola Model Police Station, confirmed the recovery. He said the origin of the pistol—whether locally made or foreign—has not yet been determined.

Police have started an investigation into the matter.
