


A reception and exchange of views meeting was held in Sadullapur for the newly elected Member of Parliament from Gaibandha-3 constituency.
The programme was organised by the Sadullapur Upazila administration at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Saturday (February 21) morning. Officials from various government departments attended the meeting.
The chief guest was the newly elected MP of Gaibandha-3 (Sadullapur–Palashbari), Abul Kawsar Mohammad Nazrul Islam, also known as Lebu Maulana. The Upazila administration formally welcomed him with floral greetings at the start of the programme.
In his speech, the MP said the constituency consists of two upazilas and stressed that development activities would be carried out without discrimination. He assured that all projects would be implemented equally to ensure balanced development across the area.
He urged officers and employees of the Upazila administration to perform their duties with honesty, transparency and dedication for the welfare of the people.
The MP also highlighted drug abuse as a serious social problem, particularly affecting young people. He called on all sections of society to unite and take a firm stand to eliminate drugs permanently.
The meeting was chaired by Sadullapur Upazila Executive Officer Mahmudul Hasan. Among others, Sadullapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Alim and Reporters Club President Shahidul Haque spoke at the event.
Senior officials and representatives from different departments of the Upazila administration were present.
