


Thousands of visitors flocked to Gazipur Safari Park on the second day of Eid, creating a festive atmosphere.
Visitors started arriving early Sunday morning (March 22), and by noon the park was crowded. Authorities said more than 16,000 visitors visited the park that day, while over 15,000 had visited on Eid day.
Gazipur Safari Park remains a popular destination for nature lovers due to its green environment and open wildlife experience. Tourists travel in special buses inside the core safari area to see animals up close.
Visitors can watch Royal Bengal tigers, African lions, bears, giraffes, zebras, deer and other animals roaming freely. Groups of monkeys are also commonly seen along the road. The park also features a safari kingdom with local and foreign birds, including macaws, along with attractions such as a butterfly park, fish park and peacock aviary. Other animals include elephants, emu birds, vultures, and various species of reptiles such as crocodiles and snakes.
Visitors expressed satisfaction with the safety and natural environment. Many said the experience of seeing wild animals from close range was unique.
Assistant Conservator of Forests Tarique Rahman said the park faces heavy visitor pressure during Eid every year. He added that authorities have taken necessary steps to ensure security and visitor services. The park will remain open daily throughout the Eid holidays.
Local businessman Shihab Khan said the large number of visitors during festivals support the livelihoods of many people in the area.
