


Bangladesh's measles death toll has reached nearly 750 after three more children died from suspected symptoms within the last 24 hours.
According to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released Wednesday, the nationwide toll includes 93 laboratory-confirmed deaths and 652 suspected cases since March 15.
Regional Impact Dhaka Division remains the epicenter of the outbreak with 283 suspected deaths. Other divisions reporting fatalities include Rajshahi 89, Sylhet 86, Mymensingh 62, Chattogram 53, Barishal 41, Khulna 29, Rangpur 9.
Hospitalization and Case Trends In the past 24 hours, 796 people sought treatment for symptoms, leading to 748 new hospital admissions. Dhaka recorded the highest number of new patients (264), followed by Chattogram (162) and Barishal (115).
Since the outbreak began, Bangladesh has recorded 108,180 suspected cases and 13,070 laboratory-confirmed infections. Total hospital admissions have reached 91,270, with 87,628 patients discharged to date. Health authorities continue to monitor the situation as the number of infections remains high across all divisions.
