Dhaka Metro Rail Extends Service Hours from Sunday

The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced an updated schedule for the metro rail service, extending its operational hours from both Uttara North and Motijheel stations starting Sunday, October 19.

According to a press release signed by DMTCL's General Manager (HR & Administration), Md. Nasir Uddin Tarafder, the decision aims to enhance passenger service in line with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.

New Schedule (Saturday to Thursday):

From Uttara North to Motijheel:

First train: 6:30 AM (previously 7:10 AM)

Last train: 9:30 PM (previously 9:00 PM)

From Motijheel to Uttara North:

First train: 7:15 AM (previously 7:30 AM)

Last train: 10:10 PM (previously 9:30 PM)

Friday Schedule (Unchanged):

Uttara to Motijheel:

First train at 3:00 PM, last at 9:00 PM

Motijheel to Uttara:

First train at 3:20 PM, last at 9:40 PM

DMTCL stated that this extension is part of its ongoing efforts to improve service quality and meet growing passenger demand.
