Youth dies in motorcycle accident on Eid in Narail

On Eid day, a 20-year-old man, Md. Rabbi Molya, died in a motorcycle accident in Narail Sadar Upazila, while another passenger, Roman Molya, was seriously injured.

The accident occurred around 3 pm on Saturday on the Magura-Narail regional highway near Dhonda Kazipara Mosque. Police said Md. Rabbi Molya lost control of the motorcycle while returning to Narail town after riding around the area following Eid prayers.

Rabbi Molya’s nephew, Md. Rehan, was also on the motorcycle but escaped with minor injuries. Roman Molya was taken to Narail District Hospital and later transferred to Khulna Medical College Hospital due to critical injuries.

The deceased was the son of Pannu Molya from Raghunathpur area of Narail Municipality. Officer-in-Charge of Narail Sadar Police Station, Md. Oli Mia, confirmed the incident and said legal action is underway. The body will be handed over to the family after completing legal procedures.

Local residents urged riders to drive cautiously, especially during festive occasions, to prevent such accidents.
