First National Rural Development Day Observed in Porsha

The first National Rural Development Day was celebrated in Porsha upazila of Naogaon on Monday, highlighting the theme "Developed Rural Prosperous Country, Bangladesh First."

The day’s programs began with a rally at the Upazila Parishad premises, followed by a discussion meeting at the local conference room.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam addressed the gathering as the chief guest, while Upazila Rural Development Officer Manjur Morshed delivered the welcome speech.

During his address, UNO Rakibul Islam emphasized the need for collective effort to successfully execute the government's rural development initiatives. "Through integrated initiatives, our rural economy will grow stronger, and the department's role in achieving sustainable development will be firmly solidified," he said, calling for sincere cooperation from all stakeholders.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Mahmudul Haque Titu, along with various government officials and local beneficiaries, attended the event.
