Private Hospitals Must Set Up Labour Rooms by July 11: Health Minister

Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain has ordered all private hospitals and clinics across Bangladesh to establish functional labour rooms by Saturday, July 11.

Speaking at a Bangladesh Midwifery Society event in Dhaka on Monday, the minister warned that any institution failing to comply with this directive will have its license cancelled. The move is part of a broader effort to ensure essential delivery services are available to patients in the private healthcare sector.
