


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman joined the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers (UHFPO) conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium today, Saturday, marking a historic first meeting with the country's field-level health administrators.
The Prime Minister arrived at the venue around 11:00 AM for the event organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This landmark session aims to streamline grassroots healthcare delivery, update officers on national health priorities, and issue direct government directives to improve service quality at the upazila level.
During the conference, the Prime Minister presented awards to the highest-performing Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers in recognition of their dedication to public service.
Senior officials in attendance included Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain Bakul, Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. MA Muhith, State Minister for Health Mohammad Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, Secretary of the Health Services Division Professor Dr. Prabhat Chandra Biswas, Director General of Health Services (DGHS)
The conference is expected to set a new roadmap for making healthcare more accessible to the rural population.
