Admin Supports Family After Tragic Drowning of Three Children in Monohardi

The local administration has extended its support to the grieving family of three children who tragically drowned while bathing in a pond in Khidirpur Union.

On Sunday (July 5), Monohardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Muhaimin Al Jihan and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Sajib Mia visited the bereaved family. The officials inspected the pond where the accident occurred and offered their condolences to the parents.

On behalf of the upazila administration, they provided an immediate financial assistance of Tk 5,000 for each deceased child. Following the visit to the home, the officials, joined by local Union Parishad members, visited the children's graves to offer prayers for the departed souls.

“The untimely death of three innocent children from the same family is extremely heartbreaking,” UNO Muhaimin Al Jihan stated. “We stand by the bereaved family during this difficult time, and all possible support from the local administration will continue.”

Local residents commended the administration for its prompt humanitarian response and sensitivity in reaching out to the family in a remote area immediately after the tragedy.
