Victory Day celebrated with due dignity in Ramgarh

On Tuesday (December 16), the Upazila administration started the Victory Day celebrations with 31 gun salutes at the Ramgarh Memorial Monument along with the sunrise.

Victory Day 2025 was celebrated with due dignity in Ramgarh, Khagrachari. On this occasion, the Upazila administration, various political parties, government and non-government organizations are organizing various programs.

On Tuesday (December 16), the Upazila administration started the Victory Day celebrations with 31 gun salutes at the Ramgarh Memorial Monument along with the sunrise. The Upazila Parishad, Upazila Administration, Brave Liberation Fighters, Ramgarh Municipality, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), National Representatives of the civic party NCP, Ramgarh Press Club, Ramgarh Health Department, Agriculture Department, Market Management Committee, Youth Red Crescent Society, Tripura Kalyan Sangsad, Marma Kalyan Samiti, Tripura Aikya Parishad, Tripura Yuba Aikya Parishad, Tripura Student Forum, Hill District Child Development Project Agape, colleges, madrasas, schools, various government and private institutions, political, social, cultural and voluntary organizations. Later, the symbol of peace was installed on the Ramgarh Government High School Math. Upazila Executive Officer Kazi Shamim inaugurated the Victory Day parade by flying pigeons and balloons.

At the same time, he, along with Ramgarh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nazir Alam, hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade and received salutes. Ramgarh Police Station SI Sakhawat Hossain led the parade as the team leader, conducted by ICT Officer Md. Rehan Uddin.

The ceremony was attended by Amin Mia, father of the valiant freedom fighter and July martyr Abdul Majid, public representatives, politicians, government officials, heads of educational institutions, and prominent figures from the area. Bangladesh Police, Fire Service, Ansar VDP, Scout Group, Girls Guide, and boys and girls groups from various educational institutions participated in the parade. During this, students from various educational institutions displayed educational and artistic displays on the liberation war and public awareness. At 1:30 pm, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Conference Room under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Kazi Shamim in honor of the brave freedom fighters.

At the end of the meeting, special honors were given to the brave freedom fighters and the families of the martyred freedom fighters. In addition, national flag hoisting in all institutions, victory fair, lighting of important structures, special prayers in religious places of worship, improved food arrangements in hospitals and orphanages, various competitions, sports and cultural programs are organized and prizes are distributed among the winners of various competitions.
