


A three-day training workshop focused on digital media for journalists from the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) took place in Khagrachari.
The workshop commenced on November 29 in the conference room of the Khagrachari Press Club and concluded on Monday, December 1. Shefalika Tripura, the Chairman of the Khagrachari Hill District Council, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Tarun Kumar Bhatracharya, the President of the Khagrachari Press Club. A total of 35 media professionals from various print and electronic outlets in the district and upazila, along with 3 student representatives from the Anti-Inequality Student Movement, participated in this training workshop organized by PIB.
The workshop covered a range of topics pertinent to journalism, including the application of new digital technologies, digital journalism ethics, artificial intelligence, fact-checking, and more, with practical training sessions included. PIB trainer Jilhas Uddin Nipun and other prominent figures in journalism were also present at the event.
