Tk 50 Lakh Reward Announced for Information on Osman Hadi Attackers

Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today announced a significant cash reward of Tk 50 lakh (Taka 5 million) for any information that leads to the arrest of the individuals who attacked Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Osman Hadi. The Tk 50 lakh reward is being offered to help bring the attackers to justice quickly.

The Home Adviser stated that those involved in the attack would be swiftly brought under the law and that no one would be spared. He explicitly termed the attack an attempt to obstruct the upcoming national election. The Adviser announced that the Interim Government is fully committed to ensuring the security of the frontline July Warriors.

A committee has been formed to determine the specific manner in which special security arrangements will be provided to them. The issue of ensuring security and solving the case has been given topmost priority by the government, and the Adviser expressed hope for the people's cooperation.

The announcement was made while briefing journalists after a Core Committee meeting on law and order at the Home Ministry in the Bangladesh Secretariat.

Osman Hadi was seriously injured in the attack by motorcycle-riding miscreants in the capital's Bijoynagar Box Culvert area on Friday.4 He is currently undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
